TDK Professional Hi8MP is a premium grade metal alloy formulation video cassette engineered to maximize the performance of multitrack digital audio and Hi8 video recording equipment. Hi8MP employs TDK's advanced ultrafine Super Finavinx™ metal alloy formulation that delivers both superior high-frequency (RF) and low-frequency (chroma ) output. This helps ensure an extremely low data error rate in multitrack digital audio recording and exceptional definition and color in high-band video recording. Other leading-edge technologies include a mirror-like smooth magnetic layer which keeps head-to-tape spacing losses and modulation noise to an absolute minimum, a TDC (Three Dimensional Compound) binder system and HA (High Adhesion) treatment for improved surface lubricity, fewer dropouts and low modulation noise, and a highly protective sealed cassette mechanism. Professional Hi8MP is well suited for rigorous studio applications such as multitrack digital audio recorders and editing VTRs, where tape can be subjected to prolonged pause/standby, repeated shuttling, re-recording, and replays. TDK Professional Hi8MP is available in 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute (video SP) lengths.
